If you as a visitor choose to register or submit information to Atlas via this Website, you agree to the use of such data in accordance with this privacy statement.  Please note that the Atlas Website may contain links to other web sites which are not governed by this privacy statement. Also note that the Atlas may use third parties to host all or portions of, or to assist in maintaining, the Atlas Website.

b. Information Collection -- As a visitor, you do not have to submit any personally identifiable information in order to use the Atlas Website.  Personally identifiable information is not collected via the Atlas Website unless it is specifically and voluntarily provided by visitors. Such information may consist of, but is not limited to, your name, current job title, company name, address, email address and telephone and fax numbers.
As a general rule, sensitive information (e.g., data relating to race or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, criminal record, physical or mental health, or sexual orientation) is not collected from visitors to the Atlas Website.  We will, where necessary, obtain visitors’ explicit consent to collect and use such information.
“Personally Identifiable Information” refers to information that lets us know the specifics of who you are.  When you engage in certain activities on this Website, such as registering for a membership, submitting content, signing up for an event, sponsoring an event, or making a donation, we may ask you to provide certain information about yourself by filling out and submitting an online form.  It is completely optional for you to engage in these activities.  However, in order for us to accept and process contribution, donations, event fees and membership fees, federal and state laws require us to collect certain information from you.  We may also collect information from you at other points on our Website that state that such information is being collected. We use your IP address to diagnose problems with our servers, software, to administer our Website and to gather demographic information.  Our third party ad servers will also provide us with summary, but not individual, reports that will tell us how many ads were presented and clicked upon at our Website.
c. Cookies -- To ensure that the Atlas Website is well managed and to facilitate improved navigation within it, cookies (small text files stored in a user’s browser) or web beacons (electronic images that allow web sites to count visitors who have accessed a particular page and to access certain cookies) are used on the Atlas Website to collect aggregate data. f. Changes to our Privacy Policy – Atlas reserves the right to modify or amend this privacy statement at any time and for any reason.  Such changes, modifications, additions, or deletions shall be effective immediately upon notice thereof, which may be given by means including, but not limited to, issuing an e-mail to the e-mail address listed by registered users and/or posting the revised Policy on this page.  You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to maintain a valid e-mail address as a registered user, review this Website and this Policy periodically and to be aware of any modifications. We encourage you to promptly update your Personally Identifiable Information if it changes.  You may ask to have the information on your account deleted or removed; however, because we keep track of past transactions, you cannot delete information associated with past transactions on this Website.  In addition, it may be impossible to completely delete your information without some residual information because of backups.
j. Security -- The importance of security for all Personally Identifiable Information associated with our users is of utmost concern to us.  Your Personally Identifiable Information is protected in several ways.  Access by you to your Personally Identifiable Information is available through a password and unique customer ID selected by you.  This password is encrypted.  We recommend that you do not divulge your password to anyone.  In addition, your Personally Identifiable Information resides on a secure server that only selected Atlas personnel and contractors have access to via password.  We encrypt your Personally Identifiable Information and thereby prevent unauthorized parties from viewing such information when it is transmitted to us.
Personal information that you provide that is not Personally Identifiable Information also resides on a secure server and is only accessible via password.  Since this information is not accessible from outside Atlas, you will not be asked to select a password in order to view or modify such information.
In order to most efficiently serve you, credit card transactions and order fulfillment are handled by established third party banking, processing agents, and distribution institutions.  They receive the information needed to verify and authorize your credit card or other payment information and to process and ship your order.
Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet or any wireless network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.  As a result, while we strive to protect your Personally Identifiable Information, you acknowledge and agree that: (a) there are security and privacy limitations of the Internet which are beyond our control; (b) the security, integrity, and privacy of any and all information and data exchanged between you and us through this Website cannot be guaranteed; and (c) any such information and data may be viewed or tampered with in transit by a third party.
12.  Choice of Law and Venue
To the extent they are not preempted by federal law, these Terms and Conditions are entered into in the State of California and shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, exclusive of its choice of law rules.  Each party to these Terms and Conditions submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts sitting in the County of Orange in the State of California, and waives any jurisdictional, venue, or inconvenient forum objections to such courts.  In any action to enforce these Terms and Conditions, the prevailing party shall be entitled to costs and attorney fees.  In the event that any of the Terms and Conditions are held by a court or other tribunal of competent jurisdiction to be unenforceable, those provisions shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms and Conditions shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.
