Atlas PAC 2011 Organizational Meeting (2/17/2011)

On Thursday February 17 2011, Atlas PAC held its Annual Organizational Meeting at the Westin South Coast Plaza.


Atlas PAC Christmas Party (12/2/2010)

For the first time ever, Atlas PAC hosted a Christmas Party at Andrei's Restaurant in Irvine. It was a festive occasion featuring several newly elected officials and a number of new members and guests. It was definitely a cause for celebration and great way to wrap up a productive year for Atlas PAC.


Election Night Celebration (11/2/2010)

Atlas PAC and the Leadership Alliance hosted an Election Night Celebration held at the Hyatt Regency in Irvine. It was the best Election Night to date for Atlas PAC with many endorsed candidates, both local and out of state, winning their respective races for the first time.


Reception for Van Tran for Congress (9/23/2010)

On Thursday September 23, Atlas PAC held a fundraising reception for Van Tran, candidate for Congress in the 47 Congressional District. Chairman Emeritus Tom Fuentes emceed the event featuring special guest Tom Phillips, Chairman of Eagle Publishing. Over $7000 was raised for Van Tran's campaign.


Reception for Tim Donnelly (8/28/2010)

On Saturday August 28, Atlas PAC held a fundraising reception for Tim Donnelly, candidate to replace Anthony Adams in the 59th Assembly District. Featured guest speakers were retired State Senator Dick Mountjoy and 70th Assembly Candidate Don Wagner.


August Networking Event (8/17/2010)

On Tuesday August 17, Atlas PAC held its summertime networking event at the Charlie Palmer Restaurant located in Bloomingdales at South Coast Plaza.


Tax Day TEA Party Rally (4/15/2010)

On Thursday April 15, Atlas PAC participated in the Tax Day TEA Party Rally held at Nissan in Irvine. Dave Bartels addressed the crowd of 1000 attendees. Debra Kennard & Sally Cirino worked the Atlas PAC booth and signed up many new people interested in Atlas PAC.


Atlas Networking Event w/Allan Mansoor (3/18/2010)

On Thursday March 18th, Atlas PAC held their monthly mixer at Skosh Monahan's, owned and operated by Costa Mesa City Councilman Gary Monahan. Featured guest speaker was Costa Mesa Mayor and candidate for the 68th Assembly District Allan Mansoor.


2010 Kickoff Meeting (2/11/2010)

On Thursday February 11, Atlas PAC held its kickoff meeting for 2010 at the Island Hotel in Newport Beach. With over seventy attendees present, there were plenty of old friends as well as new faces in the crowd. Joining us were the following candidates for elected office: Quang Pham, candidate for Congress in the 47th District, Don Wagner, candidate for 70th AD, Bill Hunt, candidate for OC Sheriff, Dr. Steven Choi, candidate for 70th AD, Harry Sidhu, candidate for OC Supervisor, Hugh Nguyen, candidate for OC Clerk Recorder, and Ken Hunter, candidate for 59th AD.


Oktoberfest Networking Event (10/8/2009)

On Thursday October 8, Atlas PAC gathered at Old World Village in Huntington Beach to celebrate Oktoberfest. Featuring all things German, members and guests feasted on bratwurst, sauerkraut, potatoes and a prime selection of imported beers. Chairman Lee Lowrey kicked off the festivities by introducing the German band to perform our national anthem. The lively cast of entertainers featured acrobats and dancers. As always, there much merriment in celebrating the time honored tradition of Oktoberfest.


Monthly Networking Event w/Chriss Street (9/23/2009)

On Wednesday September 23, Atlas PAC welcomed Orange County Treasurer Chriss Street. Over his 30 year career, Street has earned a reputation as an expert in municipal finance. The transition from private to the public sector has afforded him the opportunity to apply his business acumen to lead a government agency. Street also discussed the "Business Net Receipt Tax" under consideration by the Commission on the 21st Century Economy as a quiet means of raising taxes in California.


Monthly Networking Event w/Gabriella Holt (8/26/2009)

On Wednesday August 26, Atlas PAC hosted their monthly networking event at the Bungalow Restaurant in Corona Del Mar. Gabriella Holt, from the Citizens for California Reform was the featured guest speaker. Holt gave an update on the Part Time Legislature Initiative which she is currently gathering signatures for at this time.


Atlas PAC Golf Outing (6/28/2009)

On Sunday June 28, Atlas PAC hosted its first golf outing at the Aliso Viejo Country Club, Orange County's newest private country club. AVCC features a Jack Nicklaus designed 18-hole, 6,571 yard course with panoramic views of the Saddleback Valley. Upon arrival, Atlas PAC members were treated to a tour of the new facility, followed by lunch in the clubhouse dining room. Tee times began shortly thereafter with fourteen members participating, many of whom were playing the course for the first time. After the round, Atlas PAC members enjoyed cocktails and conversation at the club's Saddleback Grille.

KFI 640 AM Tax Revolt Rally (3/7/2009)

On Saturday March 7, Atlas PAC participated in KFI 640's Tax Revolt 2009 Rally in Fullerton. Held at the Slidebar Cafe, a crowd of 15,000 people from all over Southern California showed up to participate in this live John & Ken Show production. Atlas PAC Chairman Lee Lowrey and Director Joe Ludlow were featured on stage to talk about the Recall Adams Campaign.


Networking Event with Sen. Jeff Denham (3/5/2009)

On March 5, 2009, the Atlas PAC held their monthly networking event at The Harp Inn and welcomed State Senator Jeff Denham to Orange County. Sen. Denham is a candidate for Lt. Governor in 2010.


CPAC Conference, Washington D.C. (2/25/2009)

During the second annual trip to Washington D.C., Atlas PAC members had the opportunity to meet with U.S. Rep. Ed Royce (R-CA), John Shadegg (R-AZ), and newly elected Congressman Tom McClintock (R-CA). On the Senate side, Atlas PAC members met with Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK), Sen. Sam Brownback (R-KS) and Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC). Joining Atlas PAC on Capitol Hill was Orange County's own Supervisor Janet Nguyen. The CPAC Conference featured the heavyweight lineup of speakers including Bill Bennett, Newt Gingrich, Ann Coulter, Mitt Romney and Ron Paul. The conference finale featured the very first time appearance of Rush Limbaugh.


Atlas PAC Dinner at California Republican Party Convention (2/20/2009)

On Friday February 20, the Atlas PAC hosted a dinner at the legendary Frank Fats in Sacramento during the California Republican Party's Spring Convention.


Second Annual Reagan Day Celebration (2/18/2009)

On Thursday October 2, Atlas PAC hosted a Vice Presidential Debate Watch Party, - the most anticipated event of Election 2008. The event was held Bistango in Irvine.


Policy Breakfast w/Assemblyman Van Tran (6/6/2008)

On June 6, 2008, Atlas PAC held their fourth Policy Breakfast featuring Assemblyman Van Tran, from the 68th District. The event was hosted by The Sheldon Group in Newport Beach. Assemblyman Tran spoke about the budget crisis facing California.


Policy Breakfast w/Assemblywoman Mimi Walters (4/4/2008)

On April 4 2008, Atlas PAC held their third Policy Breakfast featuring Assemblywoman Mimi Walters, candidate for the 33rd Senate District. The event was held at the Stanbridge College in Irvine. Congressman Ed Royce also made a special appearance for the occasion.

On March 27, 2008, Atlas PAC held their second Policy Breakfast featuring Larry Dick, candidate for the 60th Assembly District. The event was held at the Inland Group in Newport Beach.

First Annual Reagan Day Celebration (2/21/2008)

On February 21, 2008, the Atlas PAC celebrated the 1st Annual Reagan Dinner. It was held at the Pacific Club in Irvine, CA. To celebrate this year’s dinner, both Congressman Dana Rohrabacher and Dr. Fred Balitzer were our featured speakers. Dr. Balitzer served as Director of the Republican National Committee and Office of Political Affairs under President Reagan. Congressman Rohrabacher recounted his days a speechwriter in the Reagan White House.


Lunch Reception with Governor Mitt Romney (1/31/2008)

With less than one week before the California Primary Election, Atlas PAC members had the opportunity to meet Governor Mitt Romney at his lunch reception held at the Irvine Hyatt. Orange County Republican Party Chairman Scott Baugh was the event emcee. Distinguished guests included Congressman Dana Rohrabacher and Senator Dick Ackerman.


New Year Kick-Off Featuring Supervisor John Moorlach (1/17/2008)

Atlas PAC kicked off the New Year at Tentation Ultra Lounge featuring Supervisor John Moorlach. Chairman Lee Lowrey addressed a crowd of over 100 attendees about what the 2008 Election holds for Atlas PAC and its membership. Distinguished guests included fellow Supervisor Janet Nguyen, Atlas PAC Regent Captain Emily Sanford, Costa Mesa Mayor Eric Bever, Newport Beach City Councilman Keith Curry, MWD Director Larry Dick and Orange City Councilman Jon Dumitru.


Reception with Mayor Rudy Giuliani (12/11/2007)

On December 11, 2007, Mayor Rudy Giuliani visited Orange County with a stop in San Juan Capistrano. Hosted by local business executive, Torin Pavia, guests were treated to a lavish affair at his magnificent estate. On display along the driveway was a spectacular collection of exotic cars. In the audience were high ranking members of the Giuliani campaign team including Bill Simon, David Zucker and Jon Leibman as well as celebrities John O'Hurley, the host of Family Feud, and George Peterson from Bravo TV's, "The Real Housewives of Orange County".


Networking Event at Kimera (11/28/2007)

Atlas PAC held their monthly networking event at Kimera in Irvine. Distinguished members and guests included Orange County Supervisor Janet Nguyen, Costa Mesa Mayor Allan Mansoor, Orange City Councilman Jon Dumitru and Huntington Beach City Councilman Don Hansen.

Reception with John Ziegler, KFI AM 640 Radio Talk Show Host (6/1/2007)

Known for his hard hitting commentary, Ziegler offered his perspective on our state and federal government, as well as the upcoming presidential elections. After an informative discussion, a book signing of Ziegler's "The Death of Free Speech" was held.


Speaker Series/Reception with Presidential Candidate and U.S. Sen. Sam Brownback (R-KS) (6/1/2007)

Although, Sen. Brownback was unable to join us due to late-night voting on the Capitol floor, his national finance director, Ryan Carney, gave an informative speech on Sen. Brownback’s presidential platform and campaign.


Fund-Raising Reception for Orange County Supervisor Janet Nguyen (6/1/2007)

Atlas PAC held a reception in honor of Supervisor Janet Nguyen’s successful bid for the 1st District seat on the Orange County Board of Supervisors. Nguyen is also a member of Atlas PAC.


Networking Event at Chimayo in Huntington Beach (5/1/2007)

Conservative Political Action Committee Conference, Washington, D.C. (3/1/2007)

Conference speakers included Vice President Dick Cheney, Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY), Ann Coulter, Michelle Malkin, Newt Gingrich, and Bob Novak, among others, as well as all of the 2008 Republican Presidential candidates. During the conference, Atlas PAC members had the opportunity to meet with House Republican Whip Roy Blunt (R-MO) who hosted lunch in the private Member's Dining Room and Orange County’s own U.S. Rep. Ed Royce (R-CA) who gave Atlas PAC members a personal tour of the Capitol. On the Senate side, Atlas PAC members sat in on floor debate and met with Sen. Gordon Smith (R-OR) and Sen. Larry Craig (R-ID).


Atlas PAC Dinner at the California Republican Party Annual Convention (2/1/2007)

During the first evening of the convention, Atlas PAC hosted dinner at Sacramento’s oldest eating establishment, the legendary Frank Fat’s. Many members attended the convention for ample opportunities to hear candidate speeches and to network with statewide and regional elected officials.

Atlas PAC hosted a hospitality suite at which our members met and heard from U.S. Rep. Ed Royce (CA-40), Assemblyman Mike Duvall (R-Yorba Linda) and Orange County Supervisor John Moorlach, among others.


Fund-Raising Reception for State Sen. Tom McClintock, Candidate for Lieutenant Governor at Kantina Restaurant in Newport Beach (10/1/2006)

Atlas PAC hosted a reception in honor of Sen. Tom McClintock who discussed his commitment to free-market philosophies and his consistent voting record against taxes, fees and borrowing. By the end of the evening, Sen. McClintock raised over $10,000 in contributions from attendees.

Reception with U.S. Sen. Chuck Hagel (R-NE) (1/1/2006)

Sen. Chuck Hagel shared with Atlas PAC an illustrious career in both the public and private sectors. Between public sector posts, Hagel co-founded a mobile phone manufacturer that made him a millionaire several times over.


Atlas PAC Membership Event at Landmark Steakhouse in Corona del Mar (11/1/2005)

Chairman Lee Lowery and Executive Director John Draper addressed a crowd of 90 attendees outlining Atlas PAC goals for the next year and beyond. By the end of the evening, Atlas PAC welcomed a number of new members to its ranks.


Atlas PAC Inaugural Event at Chat Noir in Costa Mesa (8/1/2005)
